Neurologic Music Therapy Fellowship Training
Michael and Corene Thaut will offer a Neurologic Music Therapy Fellowship training on 18 and 19 June. This Fellowship is the succession training of the NMT-training. It will be offered to those clinicians and music therapists who received there NMT-certificate and have been working for at least two years in their daily practice with the various NMT-techniques. The training will be held in English.
The training focuses on the use of the neurologic music therapy with clients of the participants. With the help of video excerpts the participants show their use of at least 3 different NMT-techniques. The participants demonstrate to master the techniques in their daily practice and can verbalize the theoretical foundations. The most important concepts, most recent research results, anatomy and specifics about NMT will be covered again during this course. If the participant is successful, he/she will be listed in the NMT-Fellowship register for 5 years.
A certificate for this Fellowship in neurological music therapy is issued by the Center for Biomedical Research in Music.
The 16-hour Advanced Fellowship Training will provide the board-certified music therapist with 19 CMTE credits that can be applied towards recertification. Your certificate of completion can be submitted as proof of your attendance and participation in this training. For Dutch music therapists the training is accredited by the SRVB for 8 credits.
As preparation for the Fellowship each participants prepares a video (max. 10 minutes) containing 3 different NMT-techniques of at least 2 of the 3 domains (motor, speech-language and cognition). Read more>>

Dates and time
The training will be held at the ArtEZ School of Music in Enschede on Wednesday 18 and Thursday 19 June 2014, from 9.00 until 19.00.
The fee for the NMT-Fellowship training amounts to €400. This includes both coffee/tea and lunches, but excludes course materials.
